Partnerships 

North Hudson Community Action Corporation (NHCAC) was founded in 1965 by forward-thinking mayors in northern Hudson County using “War on Poverty” funds to address community needs.  NHCACs mission is to promote and improve the quality of life, and to eliminate factors leading to poverty, for northern New Jersey residents by providing comprehensive health and social services with compassion, through collaborations and partnerships, in a culturally sensitive environment.

Northeast New Jersey Legal Services has been in instrumental component to the FCDC and its clients. Through its commitment to provide a variety of free legal services, Northeast New Jersey Legal Services has provided legal representation, advice, legal advocacy, community educaiton, and information of civil law matters. 

In spirit of our common Franciscan mission, Felician's Graduate Psychology department has partnered with the FCDC to provide counseling to those suffering from family loss, family conflict, domestic violence, sexual abuse, neglect, or any other traumatic experiencing where our clients may need assistance. 

As one of the largest charitable organizations in Bergen County, Bergen United Way has journeyed with the FCDC from tiles and sheetrock to the execution of providing services to our constituents that assure concrete solutions to critical community problems.

Our medically informed, holistic approach to treatment seeks to heal the individual in all aspects of his or her addiction or disorder. At North Jersey Wellness Center, we see the whole picture and seek to address the environmental, lifestyle, health, educational and psychological aspects of your ailment in order to help you get your life back. Hackensack University Medical Center’s Community health education programs engage residents to eat healthy, be active, manage stress, and avoid substance abuse. Events are offered in the community and at the Debra Simon Center for Integrative Medicine in Maywood. Many of our efforts teach participants how to take care of their own health and become better advocates for their health.

The FCDC has partnered with the IRS to provide free tax preparations for all clients who meet the criteria. Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program the FCDC certifies volunteers willing to commit their spring to assure low-income families have their Income Tax at no cost.

Bergen Community College has supported the center in securing assistance for our educational classes. With their help,today we are able to provide over 10 different courses that aid our clients in becoming self-sufficient members of our society.

The mission of our therapy/counseling service for families is to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to families in there home place. Our goal is to improve family communication, your child(ren)'s behavior, academic output, issues with depression, anxiety, stress, and the endless issues that families battle with regularly.
